A deep dive into Love is Blind
The one where I talk actual charts
First thing to note: absolutely all of the participants have Pluto in Scorpio, which means they will encounter high highs and low lows through deep emotional bonding with others, or the opposite of that (which tends to be betrayal).

Danielle: South node is in Gemini, with Venus conjunct the north node. Gemini south nodes have very active minds and can be very fixated on saying the right things, being pleasing, and relating well. They sometimes don't want to tell the truth if they think it will offend other people. Danielle's south node ruler Mercury is in Sagittarius, the opposite sign of Gemini, which tells us that she's very different from the people she comes from (the opposite, in fact). Venus on the north node means that her family absolutely can't teach her to relate to others well, and that she will have a feeling at some level that she either can't be in a relationship or doesn't know how to relate. It could also mean she doesn't feel she can be beautiful, since Venus is that, too. Her (Scorpio) sun is squared by Saturn, which is the need to develop a healthy ego but usually over time and with resistance or blocks from people you respect. Additionally, for heterosexual women, the sun is an indicator of male significant others, so the Saturn aspect can mean marrying an older man, or struggling to relate to men until you grow up enough to do so maturely.
Deepti: South node is in Cancer, which means viewing the world through the lens of feelings. Conjunct (next to) the south node is Chiron, so Deepti's coming into the world with deep sensitivity to other people's emotions and other people's pain, and she's going to feel it as if it's her own. Her south node ruler is the moon, which is definitely in Leo, but I have no idea where in Leo because the moon moves fast and we don't have a birth time. Leo's a dramatic sign but what sticks out to me after watching the series is it's romantic but also loyal. She's the kind of friend you'd want in your corner with all of that nurturing and loyalty, I think, probably. But conjunct the north node are Saturn and Mercury, meaning that developing a sense of personal authority as well as mental authority (both are in Capricorn) are essential for her in her life, because she's been blocked by authority figures before or unable to speak her mind (maybe because people are speaking for her?). Her Venus (what she likes) is in Pisces (which likes to be forgiving) and is squared by Mars in Gemini, meaning what she wants and how she gets it are at odds with one another, which is an indicator of being able to tolerate a certain amount of strife in the pursuit of love...or sometimes creating strife where it wasn't previously.
Iyanna: What an interesting chart. First: south node is Taurus with its ruler, Venus, on the south node, opposed by Pluto on the north node. Taurus south nodes know what they know, and tend to be pretty suspicious of what they don't know. They move at their own pace, too (I don't know if you've ever tried to make one move, but, I mean, more power to you if you can do it.) Venus on the south node especially in its own sign is the need to be pleasing to others, and often getting caught up on one's own values to the detriment of growing and changing. Pluto on the north node means that Plutonian topics have challenged her in the past (translation: deeply emotional and sometimes very difficult-to-look-at topics) and her mission in life is to learn to become empowered through taking risks (the Scorpio things).
Jarette: One of several south node Leos. The lens through which these lovely people view life is in-the-moment fun. Leo is love, loyalty, romance, play, child-like, and creative. Not bad, right? The issue when it's your south node is a lack of long-range goals with the preference of doing what feels good now, and being pleasing to others rather than being honest. Jarette's sun, the ruler of the Leo south node, is in Scorpio, conjunct Pluto and Mercury. 1. Natural detective. 2. Not someone who is going to be shallow or superficial. 3. Tends to have life experiences that involve death and regeneration as one enters a new phase. And I mean metaphorical death, although he had a literal near-death experience which then made him want to find a life partner. Very important note for someone on a dating show: his Venus is conjunct Uranus, which can mean a variety of things: needing to date someone who is different, needing space in romantic relationships (like a LOT of space), needing to relate to someone mentally, rebelling against "typical" ways of relating, or needing the rules of relationships to be different than normal, conventional "socially acceptable" rules. Venus-Uranus is notoriously a divorce aspect, but it doesn't need to be if handled appropriately in all of the ways I just mentioned. The reason is that Uranus is such a mental planet that one day it can just decide that it's not interested in a person anymore, usually because they violated some cherished ideal, and then the Uranian person is just done. That's why they need lots of space.
Kyle's birthday is not in that article, so if someone finds it, I will add that information here.
Mallory: The first thing that LEAPS out to me is that Mallory has an active Neptune transit to her sun and Venus, meaning current confusion in the areas of goals and romance. If you're a heterosexual female, a (harsh) Neptune transit to your sun (which this is) usually acquaints you with men who are not going to be great romantic matches. And a Neptune to Venus transit will do that to you regardless of your gender or sexual preference. So, would an astrologer recommend that she go on a reality show to find a spouse given this transit? Only one that is a. really optimistic or b. high. Anyway, Mallory is one of several people with Virgo south nodes on the show, and Virgo south nodes tend to get stuck on specific ideas instead of taking a more detached, broad view. If a Virgo south node formulates a wish list for a partner, they tend to be exacting and want their partner to check ALL the boxes, or will fixate on the one way in which that partner does not meet their wish list, rather than seeing all the ways in which they do fulfill the criteria. You can also apply this to anything else life-goal wise with them. But they live in their heads and can get very stuck there, focusing on the one thing that's wrong. Mallory's north node is Pisces, and that's where her south node ruler is: with the north node. Meaning: learning to think for herself and create her own vision for how her life should go is something she hasn't been able to do (yet, probably) but hopefully will grow into. An example of this is someone who always listens to what the rest of the group has to say before volunteering an opinion, or needing the input of others...or worse, internalizing the criticisms of others on things that are probably none of their business.
Natalie: Again, another Pisces sun with an active Neptune transit now, and this would have been felt during filming. Once Neptune moves on, you have the hangover of "what did I ever see in that guy???" Cancer south node, though, so seeing things through the lens of emotion OR familial tradition. Family and family approval is all-important. And she has a Cancer moon, too, so more fragile than she comes across (Cancers are also great at staying in their thick shells--just sayin'). Important: she has at least 2 if not 3 planets in Aquarius, depending on what time of day she was born, and the two that are definitely there are Saturn and Mars, which are conjunct in Aquarius. That's where we see the aggressive streak, as well as the fact that she's got Mercury in Aries (fast-talking and sometimes aggressive, basically.) Saturn-Mars in Aquarius will (generally speaking) have a style of aggression that's concerned with social justice but also idealistic. And reserved until it's suddenly not. And occasionally meaner than it needs to be.
Nick: Oh I could say a great many things about Nick. He's on the older side of the participants, and has a Scorpio south node. When the south node is in Scorpio, it's sooo easy to get up in other peoples' business, remember? Moreover, he has Saturn conjunct his south node, so that's viewing life through the lens of restriction (everything seems like an uphill psychological battle), and his south node ruler Mars is in Gemini, conjunct Chiron, which is someone who is very quick thinking and will verbalize most everything they're thinking, and will be incredibly sensitive to aggression. On the north node is the sun, so having an ego and going after personal goals is not something he's (likely) felt he's been able to do, instead, being pulled back into things he feels he is responsible for. Depending on what time he was born, his Pisces moon may or may not be in aspect to that Mars, meaning friction from family and/or women is something he knows well. We see a lot of his Pisces moon throughout the series (they feel your feelings for you sometimes). Basically, Nick is sensitive 5 different ways: picks up Scorpio undercurrents, sensitive to aggression, able to feel your feelings for you, sensitive to things he might have to be responsible for, and possibly having to be the defender of women (or having to defend himself FROM them!).
Sal. Another Leo south node (Performative! Romantic! In-the-moment!). The thing about Leo is that if you make these guys feel special, they will make you feel just as special, but if they suspect that your affections lie elsewhere, they will leave vapor trails where they used to be sitting. They're all about loyalty but they're loyal as long as you are, too. I just said the same thing two different ways. I love Leo because it's so simple to explain: it's the sign of royalty, and if you treat the king like a king, he rewards you. If not, then prepare to leave the country. Anyway, the sun is the ruler of his kingdom...I mean south node, and that's in Aries. Aries goes directly for what it wants, or away from what it doesn't want. Again: easy to understand. What's on his north node is interesting, though: Mars. A *thing* for him is learning to fight or assert himself. Either for what he wants, or toward making progress toward goals (because it's in Aquarius). For a man, having Mars on the north node can mean missing a male figure early on, or good examples of how to stick up for yourself, or being blocked from what you want by other men. I don't know the specifics, obviously.
Shaina: *another* Leo south node, and let me say this another way: these people subsist on food, water, and compliments. Shaina has a Virgo sun, which underwent a Neptune opposition a couple of years ago, which may or may not have coincided with the broken engagement (likely, given what I called the "superchunk": the Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter blob in the sky, which was making a harsh aspect to her Venus at the same time she had the Neptune-sun aspect). But now Neptune is opposing her Mars, so basically this is not an ideal time to meet men. Sorry, Shaina. Anyway, remember what I said in the Mallory section about wish lists? This applies to people whose south node rulers are in Virgo, too. It's like the one dealbreaker item gets stuck in their craw and nothing can unstick it. Now, don't get me wrong. If you're clear on what you want and what you don't want, more power to you. It's just that her north node is about identifying and pursuing long-range goals and not being so caught up in the drama of the moment, because the Leo people get fixated on the drama of the moment better than almost anyone you've ever met or watched on Bravo. Her moon is in either Capricorn or Aquarius, and if you're wondering about the chilliness you see in her, this is part of it. Neither moon sign is known for the warm fuzzies. And, um, her Jupiter's in Cancer, which can be a very family-based belief system (said another way: needing to adhere to the family values, especially religious ones).
Shake: Be honest, did you skip straight to this one? Well, you might want to start with Mallory's section, because, like her, Shake, too, has a Virgo south node, and Virgo is known for being exacting with their demands of themselves and others, because they're used to seeking perfection. You know what Virgo's known for, incidentally? Work with with animals. Centuries ago, those animals were livestock, but if you had a child with a lot of Virgo in the present day, I'd say, get this kid all the pet animals if that's what they're into (I knew a family with such a child and the child was denied pets, which seemed mean). Sometimes (but not always) people with a lot of Virgo relate to animals better than humans. So back to Shake. Has the sun conjunct his south node, and people with that aspect tend to have big personalities and be the people who entertain groups of others. They like a lot of attention. I know one such sun-south node whose MO is to talk louder and louder and louder until you finally pay attention to him. Anyway, Shake's south node ruler (Mercury) is actually in Libra, which would be surprising (because Libra is known for valuing harmony) unless you also noticed that it's exactly opposed by a retrograde mars, and squared by Neptune. Mercury-Mars people are known for saying exactly what they're thinking with no filter whatsoever, as well as having lead feet while driving. Neptune-Mercury-Mars people can have misplaced aggression, misplaced verbal aggression, the tendency to leak their thoughts to other people instead of the person you should be sharing your thoughts with, and...either being a visionary or totally misguided with your ideas (but you sure are saying things fast!). A Libra Mercury can see both sides of an argument. And the Mars-Mercury-Neptune stuff can work or think or talk altruistically. It's just a matter of how you harness the energy. Depending on his birth time, Shake might have the moon conjunct Venus, which for heterosexual men can be unfortunate because it can cause confusion about what you're looking for in a woman: a mother-type or a vixen? Often when you get one, you want the other, and vice versa.
Shayne: another Virgo south node, but oh, what a chart. Having already discussed Virgo enough (it seems to come out more in terms of his appearance than his wish list for others, because he's really only focused on himself), his south node ruler (Mercury) is in Gemini, and it's conjunct Jupiter, which explains a LOT. Guys, it's all right there. Jupiter-Mercury is optimism but also loose with factual statements, meaning you wind up saying "I didn't mean it that way." He's a great example of things being true in the moment, even if he's contradicting himself in the next moment or episode: he meant what he said in the moment, but now it's a different moment, and so he means what he means NOW (but maybe not tomorrow). Jupiter is the life of the party, it's larger than life, and Mercury's the eternal youth. Combine them and you have Beetlejuice. I mean Shayne. Other things to note: I would never have guessed he was a Taurus sun sign. But he has Mars opposed to Uranus. Do you know anything about Mars-Uranus people? Sudden aggression out of nowhere. Just epic, earth-shaking tantrums that are over as quickly as they began. It's like a fast-acting volcano. Also, that Mars of his is connected to Chiron, so there's a sensitivity to aggression, too, which in this case can lend itself to eruptions.

Just a fun note if you’re into the series, this man is my hero.
