A deep dive into Love is Blind

From the girl who usually hates dating shows

I need to make a confession: I'm obsessed with Netflix's Love is Blind. Okay, maybe obsessed isn't the right word, but I enjoy the shitshow that is random people falling in "love" with others, sight unseen (take those quotes as cynicism, please). In my media consumption regarding the show, I happened upon this article: "What the 'Love is Blind' Couples' Astrology Say about their Compatibility." I was rubbing my hands together like "yesssss, tell me everything!" And the article is...sun sign astrology.

"One person is a Libra and the other person is a Gemini therefore one will be concerned with harmony and the other one will talk a lot." Is that really helpful? Please, no. This is why people think astrology is bullshit. The sun is your ego and it's one of the indicators of how you naturally act, and it's IMPORTANT, don't get me wrong. But unless you have multiple planets in Pisces, to say "I'M A PISCES" as though it explains everything about you is a huge bummer. Do you want to be known for just the intuitive properties of Pisces? Really?

But fortunately the article gives us glorious, glorious birth dates, and where I start when I'm looking at charts with no birth times is the south node and the traditional ruler of the south node and the aspects those things make (I know I just said gibberish to most of you--please forgive. You'll see what I mean if you read the descriptions of the contestants). The reason I do this: your south node behaviors tend to be the things you trip over the most, and the planet that rules your south node tends to give a lot of information on the roles you tend to play in life by house and sign (but since we have no birth times we have no house information, but we still have a lot of information).

Just for fun, my take on the contestants. I did them individually instead of as couples, but if there's interest, I may do the actual compatibility later.
