Blood oaths and binding decrees
With light hostage negotiation
Uhhh, hey guys? Remember last summer where I made all that noise about Venus and Mars being almost-conjunct in Leo, but then Venus turned to go retrograde and Mars left Venus in the dust? Back when I said that, I also said that they'd (finally) connect in Aquarius around now. So let me say that again but in English this time: last summer, the planet ruling desire was almost in the same place in the sky as the planet ruling action, but they didn't connect. Normally when you put those two together, and they connect, there's a payoff of some sort. Back in college when I found this pair embodied in humans, I used to threaten to lock them in a closet and leave them there until they hashed it out. So last summer: no payoff. Instead, Venus went and ruminated and did some other weird shit for a while (Venus retrograde is a heck of a time for a lot of people). But now: Venus is ba-ack. And there's a connection in this time! Payoff! Or...um... oh shit, Pluto's involved.
Welp.
Okay, normally when you find Venus and Mars conjunct in Aquarius without Pluto involved, you're going to find a meeting of the minds and opportunities for sensuality but in a detached way, like maybe commitment is optional. Any time you find Venus and Mars conjunct, it's peak time for creativity, as well as hostage negotiation (I'm being facetious, but Mars takes prisoners and Venus will convince you to let 'em go). My favorite Venus-Mars conjunctions are in fire signs (Aries, Sagittarius, Leo) because they're FUN and you don't have to talk a lot about your passions, as you must in air signs (ever tried to kiss someone who won't stop talking?). Fire signs *do* and air signs talk. Conjunctions in the water signs are often subtle and you can't make sense of them easily unless you also have one, and earth signs... I'm sure are very nice and productive and motivated, but not thrilling (sorry). So the almost-conjunction in a fire sign was almost-exciting and there was almost a payoff and then nothing happened. And now we're back 6 months later in Aquarius, and, well, I'd say the slogan of this conjunction in normal times is "wanna talk about it?"
Except the Pluto involvement means "we HAVE to talk about it." Mars and Venus together can be flirty and fun. Add Pluto and...it just. got. serious. As in, we might need an actual hostage negotiator in a way that's not funny anymore. Someone born with this energy might actually be the best hostage negotiator there ever was. Only, it would be a person who's always in hostage negotiator mode and can't turn it off. It's great when you're needed for hostage negotiating but less nice when you're running to the grocery store to buy milk, because this combination can be one for theatrics ("The cereal is dry! There's no time!").
Also, this sky meetup of Pluto+Mars+Venus is circa Valentine's Day, so for some of you, it's less "I choo-choo-choose you" and more "you're mine forever." Did we all agree to forever, though? Are we all cool with that? That's where I'm uncertain. Aquarius is typically cool-headed, but add Pluto and, nope, not anymore.
There's another side of this: Pluto's the god of death and the only god whose decrees can't be reversed (because death is final), so there's also the possibility of "we're done forever" in the mix. So this could be good energy for a situationship that you NEED to die, or a former lover that you NEED to go away: chances are good that if you told them to get lost and prove you meant it, the message would be received. But I caution you (and everyone): when Pluto and Mars get together, it's a combustible combination and you are generally at higher risk for violence and danger. So exercise caution here and change your locks if you need to, or go stay at a friend's house.
What if you finally get that payoff you were hoping for last summer and you find out it's not what you wanted AT ALL? What if you got that payoff you were hoping for last summer and it comes with an insane amount of things you have to think through (like a thousand strings are attached to finally being together)? What if you get a love declaration out of nowhere? What if you have an ex come back with an "it's always been you"? Nothing's particularly off the table, but all extreme situations are on the table. Drama is afoot. I've previously always excited about drama when it's not my drama

but I'm a little sick of Plutonians telling me they never want to see me again, so this round I'm like "nah, I'm cool, we don't have to do emotional extremes right now." Except we do, and I'm not exempt. Buckle up.
One more thing: if you do agree to “forever” under this sky and there are a ton of terms and conditions attached, don’t optimistically assume you’ll be renegotiating better conditions later. The situation will be as real as it gets and what you agree to will be binding.
