But seriously, do you feel lucky?
Do you?
Jupiter spends about a year in a sign, but the way Jupiter moves, it's not always consecutive, and that's the case with Jupiter in Aries. It'll be there in May - October, then December 2022 - May 2023. So that's not a full year, but astrologers shrug at that and say "year!"
But we’re not here for math, are we?
Jupiter expands anything it touches or accentuates the sign it's in. Jupiter in Pisces (the sign it's in now) has embiggened passive emotional energy, so a lot of people are having some interesting subconscious events: weird dreams, subtle nudges, intuitive leanings, etc. That's a great use of the energy, and enjoy it while it lasts if it's going well for you, because once it hits Aries, it's a whole different game. A very active, direct game.
Let me explain an astrological principle to help paint a picture of what's gonna happen when Jupiter hits Aries: your ascendant. Assuming you have an exact birth time, and it really needs to be exact, the ascendant in your chart is a line of consciousness. Everything in the 12th house is subconscious, even if it's right above that line, and everything below the line is conscious. With the exception of the lunar nodes, everything moves counter-clockwise through your chart, so over your ascendant and down into your first house. When this happens, you have the opportunity to make the unconscious conscious: take what you're dreaming about and apply it to reality. Take your subconscious whims and ask "so what now?" If you're dreaming of remodeling your house by removing a non-supporting wall, when Jupiter hits Aries, pick up the sledgehammer and make it happen.
Jupiter in Aries is very DIY energy. Now, you can do it yourself by hiring someone to fix your problem for sure. I'm not expecting that we'll all become contractors when Jupiter hits Aries. But if you have shit that needs fixing or attending to, May - October is a great time to get fixin'. Do not despair if you do not currently feel motivated. See how you feel in late May (Jupiter goes into Aries mid-May, and while the planet is not known for its subtlety, give it a little bit to really settle in for those of you who are not naturally sensitive to energy).
Aries is THE independent sign. Jupiter in Aries will not destroy your relationships with others, but it will also not help them, unless you're Virgo/Libra rising and you have Aries in your house of relationships, in which case Jupiter in there should support partnering or at a minimum attracting very Jupiterian people toward you. But for everyone else, riddle me this: if all of a sudden you're doing whatever the fuck you feel like, which is Aries in a crude nutshell, how's that gonna go over with your significant other? Or if they're doing whatever, that's probably not the way to your heart, either. So keep that in mind.
Jupiter is the planet of luck, so again very generally speaking, getting unexpectedly lucky when setting out to do stuff by yourself is well-aspected. Jupiter in Pisces is about letting your conscience be your guide, and Jupiter in Aries is about trusting your very basic instincts.

It should be interesting.
