A Pisces experience
Sky roster: Sun: AquariusMercury: Capricorn (still)Venus: changing to PiscesMars: Gemini (still)The rest: Jupiter in Aries, Saturn in Aquarius, Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces, Pluto in Capricorn
Let’s check in on Venus, shall we? I wrote about Venus running into the wall that is Saturn last week. Did any of you get serious about your relationships, your sense of self-worth, or your money? That’s part of where that energy came from. But Venus is moving away from Saturn now and into Pisces on Friday. It’s still more or less conjunct Saturn, but once it changes signs, that Saturnian hold on our planet of love and dollar bills dissipates pretty fast. Venus in Aquarius likes to feel smart and well-read. Venus in Pisces is a different beast entirely. It likes whimsy, glittery things, and nostalgia. Venus in Aquarius is much, much, much, MUCH more reality focused than Venus in Pisces could ever hope to be. So if you are Venus-sensitive* and would like to get lost in a good book or bedazzle the shit out of something, this is the energy for you.
Venus is in Pisces AWAY from Neptune until about 2/11, but then a curious thing happens: the sun conjuncts Saturn while Venus conjuncts Neptune. Harsh reality + ungrounded romantic/financial whimsy AT THE SAME DAMN TIME. This is in effect for basically that whole week, but what jumps out at me is that the sun is especially conjunct Saturn while Venus is especially conjunct Neptune on Valentine’s Day. This could play out one of several ways for those of you who celebrate: being unrealistically romantical despite having zero money (or feeling the pinch of some other unpleasant reality—use your imagination). Taking a romantic risk (or a financial one) and getting shut down (😭), because please remember, Saturn is a wall of nope. Or you find yourself longing for someone or something from the past, because trust me when I say that time is irrelevant to Neptune and Pisces, but knowing that the past is gone forever (😭 x 2). Another one: having the bone-deep knowledge that your relationship is ending but celebrating one more Valentine’s Day together knowing it’s the last one while wishing it wasn’t (😭😭😭). You can reverse this energy and spend your Valentine’s Day doing charity work, but this is the energy out there at that time and it is *tricky.*
Another thought: if you’re a notorious social media checker-upper on your ex, plan to restrain yourself that week, because you might get that truly terrible itch to reconnect. Just do a social media diet and go to an art museum instead or rediscover your record collection. Or write pithy poems to yourself.
XO,J
*Some people are more sensitive to Venus energy than others, but if you are Taurus or Libra rising, this definitely means you.
