Opportunities that hurt
Mixed bag Jupiter-Chiron
Jupiter's stationing in the sky as Mercury retrogrades back from Sagittarius into Scorpio (soon) and something I really did not take into account when I was looking overly optimistically at Jupiter and licking my lips with anticipation: Jupiter (opportunity) is square Chiron. Chiron, the planetoid of "pain that's not your fault that you can't do anything about."
One fact about me (if you're new) is that I tend to wander into awkward situations, or they find me somehow. A couple of weeks ago I walked into a hallway that had two people in it, one of whom was happy to see me and the other was not happy to see me because the first person was happy to see me, and in that moment I realized that those two had an existing unbalanced relationship, meaning one person likes the other more, etc., and I stepped right in it (ignorantly) being all friendly and then wanted to vanish off the face of the earth ASAP. In a nutshell: I enthusiastically entered a hallway (Jupiter) and *wham* PAIN (Chiron). Not my pain, but being someone who feels everybody's feelings whether I want to or not, because I have moon-Neptune and am a damn sponge, it was not my favorite day. I can usually take the pain hit with a straight face, but the pain was so immediate and intense that I glitched and stammered my way through the rest of the interaction.
Jupiter and Chiron are in a square, so the more optimistic of the intuitives would suggest healing is possible from this configuration. I don't agree, mainly because I did the equivalent of slamming my face into a door in the previous paragraph: it's more that those of us having a Jupiter transit are also having a Chiron transit and the two don't blend but they do make us aware of locations where there is pain. Yep, found it! (If Jupiter and Chiron were in a trine or sextile or something I would agree that healing could occur. I think the square is blowing up some unpleasantness.)
Chiron pain is the stabby kind. It's not a dull ache that you can tolerate and get on with it. Chiron the centaur had a poisoned leg injury that caused him to assume beast mode, and by that I mean acting like an injured animal rather than deadlifting several hundred pounds. If you've ever tried to rationalize with someone who is in a severe amount of pain, you know that's a waste of time. So don't.

Acknowledge the pain. Respect the pain. Do not stab further into the pain. If you have an opportunity (Jupiter) but you're distracted by someone else's pain (Chiron) that you can't do anything about, please know that they're going to be in pain either way. Don't take advantage or gloat, but also don't let the opportunity for you pass by because you feel guilty. (This is not me cosigning opportunistic shit!) If you're the Chiron person, it's about learning to live with it rather than solve it (instead of blaming other people/stuff for it), but oh my god this is not medical advice if you are in pain see a doctor. I have Chiron square my sun in my birth chart so whenever I have an ego or act friendly I somehow hurt someone's feelings (see above situation, which is the long and short of it. I'm like "hiiii!" and I get a "no one liked that.").
You know what else Chiron is (and I mean this overtly)? Leg injuries! I'm finally working on rehabbing an ankle issue that's not getting better on its own. It's minor. But I bought a brace a few weeks ago and then one of those balance boards for ankles because I decided it was time to get serious about it. The sky is often amusingly literal.
