Uranus transits and Uno Reverse
I have a friend who has had Uranus dancing around the beginning of her 6th house for the past year. This is a pretty typical indicator for ups and downs in daily life, particularly at work and with coworkers. A few months ago, Uranus retrograded out of her 6th house into her 5th. Generally, the organization where she works has been going through a lot of turbulence and change lately, and things have been restructured. She thought about what she wanted, and told people she's fine where she is. She's watched people get promoted around her, but for now, just keeping things status-quo is what she decided she wanted because she has other priorities in life at the moment. She said explicitly to her supervisor that she did not want a promotion and was not trying for one. Uranus then re-entered her 6th house and literally the next day, she was told she's being promoted.
Uranus is funny, because it's so disruptive and loud, and if you don't pay attention to it, it gets progressively louder. I live next to a church, and they have a soup kitchen/warming area situation, which means that first thing in the morning, a bunch of people shuffle over to the church in their various states, and usually it's not a big deal, but occasionally there's unpleasantness. Last year, this man who was clearly in dire need of medication and care in a very broad sense, started sleeping outside the church, and also outside my window, where he had conversations and sometimes arguments with no one. He'd yell the same repetitive string of expletives for hours on end (also while clapping loudly), often at about 3 in the morning. Sometimes the police would show up, and I'd hear the chirp of the body camera switch on and the officer would ask this guy if he wanted to go to the hospital, and that would usually quiet him down for a couple of weeks (so if he was still arguing with no one, it was at least quieter). One morning, I was walking to my car to go to work and I heard all manner of sirens. I passed my alley and saw an unmarked police car parked in it, and thought "huh, weird." Then I had to drive around the front of the church and saw probably all of the other squad cars in my municipality, empty, in various states of haphazardly pulled up to the church driveway (so everyone ran inside when they got there). This was during the warming center/breakfast hours the church has, so I figured some shit went down there. And I haven't seen or heard the guy since. Coincidence? Probably not, because I'm writing this months later.
What does my friend being promoted against her will and the man having very loud arguments with invisible enemies have in common? Uranian energy throws you off your rhythm. We are creatures of habit, so if your rhythm is more of a waltz and life demands you live in 4/4 time, you might not enjoy a sudden shift of rhythm.

For those of us with a sense of rhythm, have you ever had a dance partner who doesn't have the same skill? How hard did you pray for the song to end? That's a Uranus transit in a nutshell. "Oh you like your work structure, do you? How about if we CHANGE EVERYTHING?" "You like sleeping in the middle of the night? How about if a man yelling angrily at random intervals is next to your window?" You can't rely on your internal sense of "normal" and if you don't find that uncomfortable, there's probably something else going on with you.
Actually, the first day the yelling man appeared, I also had an extremely random work emergency, and it was also a federal holiday, so I woke up to screaming, went in to work where everyone was upset, and came back home to screaming.
By the way, if you ever need a recommendation for ear plugs, you're not going to find better than these.
