Why I offer Spirit Guide readings

In addition to chart readings, I'm now offering spirit guide readings.

What's a spirit guide? Everyone alive has at least one spirit guide, or a small team of them, who can see the direction you're headed in life much more clearly than you can, and offer you help and support along the way. They're always with you, and they usually have some ideas about how to approach or tackle your next adventures. They are guides and not gods: they do not tell you what you *should* do, but they will offer you options and help you see opportunities you might be missing. You want to ask guides MACRO questions. They will often not comment on very near-term or granular subjects, because their job is to keep you generally on-path. If you're at a turning point in your life, if you feel utterly stuck, or if you find yourself in a repetitive pattern that you can't identify the reason for, a spirit guide reading might be for you. Or maybe you just want to know how to maximize the current energy around you--that's cool, too. I've found that there is a lot of continuity between what spirit guides are recommending and what's going on in your chart, but I as the reader am hearing the *why* from your spirit guides, whereas when I'm reading charts I can see that *what* pretty clearly, and in our conversations, you fill in the rest. It's kind of the difference between listening to an AM radio (chart reading) vs. being at a concert (spirit guide reading).

Again, guides will not tell you what you SHOULD do. They will present you with options and/or acknowledge the situations you've found yourself in and how to best navigate them. Guidance will shift over time as you move through life, and sometimes certain situations have to ripen before they're ready to say more or for certain nuggets of guidance make sense. I've found that two months is a decent amount of time between readings. If you really want to make positive changes in your life, they'll provide you with all sorts of good advice. They'll meet you where you're at.

When I'm reading for you, I'm tuning into guidance that is going to be best for you and come from a loving place. So you will not receive warnings, threats, or anything ghoulish. I'm tuning in to something very specific and doing it on purpose, so badness is not going to come through.

Personally, I love doing spirit guide readings because they are extremely affirming for everyone involved. Your guides think you're special (really!) and want you to maximize your gifts. When I read charts, I usually get some small chunks of that type of guidance because I can't exactly turn the gift off, but when I'm working with spirit guides, I'm just listening to what they are telling me and translating that for you, so in these conversations I'm focused on effectively communicating their messages.

This is a big step for me: I'm a reluctant astrologer and an even-more-reluctant intuitive, because there's still a big part of me that's comfortable with logic and the things that can be seen and observed in regular life. I don't like to out myself to people who know me in regular life, but I have these gifts and my intent is to use them to be of service, so this is part of my coming-of-age story.

Some notes:

• These should definitely be private conversations. If you're concerned about being overheard or otherwise anxious, less information will probably come through for you. This is NOT a party trick!

• I will still ask for your birth chart information--this will help me tune in to your energy beforehand, and sometimes make sense for myself of why they're saying what they're saying.

• Sometimes spirits of loved ones come through. If that happens, we'll talk through it, but I'm not explicitly offering mediumship right now (which is speaking to departed loved ones via me). If I'm opening to guidance for you that's in your highest good, some people who love you a lot may come through with messages. If there's someone who has been on your mind a lot recently who has passed away, let me know when we begin.

• You're going to want to take thorough notes or record our session. I am so focused on translating that I usually do not remember exactly what I say to you.

• I'm only reading for you with your consent, which you're giving me when you're asking me to do a reading. Your guides will comment on how to best interact with other people in your life, but I can't (and won't!) contact someone else's guides on your behalf.

• Your spirit guides probably won't tell you who they are. Think of them as anonymous benefactors who are doing you a serious solid. Your current guides may not be with you throughout your entire life--you may have some sub in and out.

• They may or may not be straightforward. Just be prepared for some left-field advice, because it happens sometimes.

In conclusion, I'm doing these readings because I want to be of service to people who want to grow into their best potential and because I am blessed with the ability to do so. And for my logical friends out there, you don't have to believe in most of what I just said--I won't be offended--but if you're curious and want to see if there's anything to this, that's fine, too.
